NIGHTSCAPE PHOTO CONTEST
As part of our Celebrate the Night Week September 19-25, 2021 Starry Skies North is hosting a photography contest.
This year we are celebrating the recent designation of three regional areas as Dark Sky Regions – BWCA, Quetico Provincial Park and Voyageurs National Park.
Photographs entered should illustrate and celebrate our Northern region of the United States and include the connection between earth/water and sky. No deep sky astrophotography images for this competition.
Deadline for entries is September 24TH, 2021.

Three winners will be chosen.
Prizes include:
First Place - $100
Second Place – $50
Third Place – $25
Photo Contest Rules
All photos must be original work, taken by the entrants. No third party may own or control any materials the photo contains, and the photo must not infringe upon the trademark, copyright, intellectual rights, or rights of privacy of any entity or person.
If you choose to include people in your submission, you are responsible for obtaining the necessary releases from the individuals depicted, in case required.
Entries must be submitted no later than September 24th, 2021 via email to: starryskiesnorth@gmail.com
Files allowed include Jpeg and Raw.
Reasonable post processing will be accepted. Photo composites must clearly state they are composites.
By entering the contests, entrants agree that Starry Skies North may post entrants on social media and that Starry Skies North has the option to use entered photos in forthcoming promotional and educational publications, both print and virtual.
