Fall 2022 Call for Volunteers!

Hello Fellow Dark Sky Enthusiast,

Starry Skies North has two volunteer opportunities coming up at the end of this summer, and we are reaching out to see if you want to get involved! The first event is August 31st at the Minnesota State Fair Eco Experience and the second event is September 10th at the Minneapolis Monarch Festival.

MN State Fair Eco Experience: August 31st

Volunteers here will be staffing an indoor table at the Eco Experience during their shift. The Eco Experience is at the State Fair in St. Paul, MN. They will talk with State Fair attendees about general light pollution and Starry Skies North topics with a special focus on the Globe at Night Citizen Science project. Minneapolis Monarch Festival: September 10th

Volunteers here will be staffing an outdoor booth at the Monarch Fest in Minneapolis. They will talk with attendees about light pollution, Starry Skies North, and what steps can be taken to reduce the impact of artificial light at night. We will begin reaching out to volunteers for the Eco Experience by the end of July, and for the Monarch Festival by mid-August.
